Former Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, has called on aspirants contesting the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Upper West Regional Executive Elections to promote peace, unity and healthy competition ahead of the polls.

In a goodwill message shared on Facebook, Dr Bin Salih extended his best wishes to all candidates who had successfully filed to contest the elections, describing their decision to seek office as a demonstration of loyalty, courage and commitment to the party.

He said the internal competition was an important part of the NPP’s democratic traditions and reflected the vibrancy and resilience of the party in the Upper West Region.

Dr Bin Salih urged the aspirants, as they engage delegates and present their visions, to remember that the elections were an internal party exercise.

“Beyond the ballots and declarations, our collective goal remains unchanged: to build a united, formidable, and battle-ready front capable of delivering decisive victory for the NPP,” he said.

He also called for a peaceful, transparent and unifying electoral process, urging delegates to elect leaders with the vision, strength and integrity required to lead the party.

Dr Bin Salih wished all aspirants the best of luck and expressed hope that the outcome would strengthen the party ahead of its future political activities.

The NPP Upper West Regional Executive Elections are scheduled for Saturday, 15 August 2026.
