Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Wa Central Constituency, Osuman Abdul Hamid, says his commitment to the party over the years is reflected not only in his leadership but also in the personal sacrifices he made to support its activities.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kangyiri Radio, the former constituency chairman said that since becoming an executive of the party, no one has matched his record of purchasing a personal vehicle and dedicating it to the party’s work.
According to him, he has documented evidence of his contributions and is prepared to substantiate his claims.
“I have the records to support my claim, and if anyone believes they have done the same, they are welcome to present their records so we can make a fair comparison,” he stated.
Mr. Hamid disclosed that he purchased a vehicle in 2012 and used it extensively to support the NPP’s activities during the 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 general election campaigns.
He explained that for the past 16 years, he has remained committed to the party and believes no other person in the Wa Central Constituency has a similar record of buying a personal vehicle and consistently using it for party activities over such a period.
The former constituency chairman recalled that there was a time when the party had no vehicle available for its operations, making his personal car an important asset for the movement of party executives and the execution of various party programmes.
“There was a time when the party did not have a single vehicle available for its activities, and my car became a vital resource in supporting our operations whenever it was needed,” he said.
Mr. Hamid made the remarks while reflecting on his years of service to the New Patriotic Party and the sacrifices he says he made in advancing the party’s activities in the Wa Central Constituency.
