The Constituency Communication Officer (CCO) for Nadowli-Kaleo, Biekpe Sylvester, popularly known as B.T. SLY, has officially announced his decision not to seek re-election in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executive elections. He disclosed this in a formal notice of appreciation issued on March 15, 2026.

Having served two consecutive terms in the role, Sylvester expressed deep satisfaction at the opportunity to strengthen the party’s communication front and defend the NDC tradition.

Despite receiving numerous calls from party faithful to seek a third term, he noted that his decision to step aside is rooted in a commitment to his principles and a promise made during the previous election cycle.

“This decision has been taken in good faith and in fulfilment of my promise at the last election to pave way for others. This, I believe, will create opportunities for others to also contribute their ideas and energy to the growth of our party”.

In his message, the outgoing CCO extended special gratitude to key political figures who have shaped his journey. He credited his “political mentor and grandfather,” the veteran and venerable Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, for his continued growth. He also thanked the Member of Parliament, Hon. Anthony Sumah, whom he described as a “Servant-Leader” for his vital guidance.

While he is exiting his current executive role, B.T. SLY assured party members that his commitment to the NDC’s vision and success remains unshaken. He pledged to continue supporting the party in every possible way to ensure victory in future elections.

Regarding his next steps, Sylvester stated he is “seeking the face of God” and remains open to divine direction for his future endeavors. He concluded by wishing all aspiring candidates the best of luck, urging them to conduct their campaigns in a decorous manner and with mutual respect.
