Siddique Mohammed Lamin Elected Wa Central NPP Chairman

Siddique Mohammed Lamin has been elected the Wa Central Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after defeating his challenger, Iddrisu Alhassan Bomison, in the party’s constituency executive elections.

Mohammed Lamin secured 934 valid votes, while Bomison polled 710 votes out of 1,646 total votes cast, with two rejected ballots.
The elections also produced a new set of constituency executives to steer the affairs of the party in Wa Central.

For the position of First Vice Chairman, Osman Suleman was elected after obtaining 963 votes, defeating Abdul-Rahaman Topie Karim, who garnered 691 votes.

In the race for Second Vice Chairman, Sakibu Mohammed emerged victorious with 1,009 votes, beating Alhaji Imori Mohammed Cissey, who secured 633 votes.

Abdulai Kpegla Issah was elected Constituency Secretary after polling 866 votes, while his opponent, Adams Mahamood, received 785 votes.

Ahmed Malik won the position of Assistant Secretary with 848 votes, narrowly defeating Ibrahim Mubarick, who polled 803 votes.

For the position of Treasurer, Abdul Fatawu Daud secured victory with 871 votes, against Sherifdeen Yahaya’s 775 votes.

Abdulai Mahamuda was elected Constituency Organiser after recording one of the highest vote margins in the election, polling 1,030 votes to defeat Alhassan Ibrahim Daubile, who received 625 votes.

The contest for Youth Organiser featured three candidates. Hanif Jaoto Iddrisu emerged winner with 827 votes, ahead of Saeed Kngbeunaa’ng Hashim, who polled 794 votes, while Mohammed Fah Alhassan obtained 29 votes.

In the Women’s Organiser election, Abdul-Rahman Bintu was elected after securing 671 votes. Other contestants were Iddrisu Rashida Puoyeli with 439 votes, Mohammed Ayisha with 309 votes, Takora Attawa with 155 votes, and Adams Fati with 76 votes.

For the position of Nasara Coordinator, Nuhu Ismeal won with 886 votes, defeating Seidu Jadul-Hak, who garnered 759 votes.

Yussif Fatawu was elected Communication Officer after polling 913 votes, ahead of Hamid Kpamba, who secured 386 votes, and Ahmed Abdul-Latif, who received 334 votes.
