The newly elected Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa Central Constituency, Issah Abdulai Kpegla, has pledged to work towards uniting the party, describing his election as a collective victory rather than a personal achievement.

Mr. Kpegla, who previously served as the constituency treasurer, made the remarks after being declared winner in the constituency executive elections held on Saturday at the WaTechnical Institute.

In his victory speech, he assured party members that the newly elected executives would make deliberate efforts to reconcile all factions and strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

“We will do everything humanly possible to bring everyone on board. This is not a personal win. It is a victory for the NPP,” he said.

The secretary-elect called on party members to put the election behind them and unite in pursuit of the party’s common objective of reclaiming political power in the constituency and contributing to the NPP’s success in the 2028 general elections.

Mr. Kpegla’s message echoed similar calls for unity by other newly elected constituency executives, who emphasized the need to close ranks following the internal contest and work together to build a stronger and more cohesive party.

Abdulai Kpegla Issah was elected Wa Central Constituency Secretary after polling 866 votes to defeat his sole challenger, who secured 785 votes. He won the contest by a margin of 81 votes.
