The Ghana Education Service has approved Lambussie Community Day Senior High School in the Upper West Region to operate as a day and boarding school after nine years of operation.

According to a letter signed by the GES Director-General, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis states “approval has been granted to Lambussie Community Day Senior High in the Lambussie District to run as a Day/Boarding School.”

The letter further directed the Upper West Regional Director of Education to collaborate with the school authorities to ensure the posting of the required staff for the effective operation of the boarding house.

The approval is expected to bring relief to students from Lambussie and neighbouring communities, who have long faced challenges accessing senior high school education due to distance and accommodation constraints.

Member of Parliament for Lambussie Constituency, Prof. Titus Kofi Beyuo who championed the initiative has been widely commended for this tremendous achievement which is described as a significant milestone for education in the Constituency.
