Rising Upper West-based singer Issahaku Ayisha with stage name ‘Annumah’ has called on male industry players to stop taking advantage of female artistes under the guise of offering management support.

Speaking on Kangyiri FM’s weekend entertainment programme, Entertainment Extra, hosted by Kamaldeen Asieku, popularly known as Ataala KK, Annumah said some individuals approach female musicians with promises to manage their careers but end up pursuing personal interests.

She encouraged stakeholders in the music industry to provide genuine support and create a safer environment for female artistes to grow their talents.

The singer also revealed that she is working on an Extended Play (EP) project which will feature top artistes outside the Upper West Region. She added that she has an upcoming song featuring Nashberry.

Annumah, who mentioned Nashberry, Northug, Rekordz, Sypha, and Di Youngsta as her five favourite artistes in Upper West, said her musical inspiration comes from Nigerian singer Omar Lay and Ghanaian songstress Gyakie.

On her relationship status, the emerging artiste disclosed that she is currently single, explaining that she is still healing from a broken heart and remains focused on her music career.
