President of Kalibi Sporting Club, Bernard Mornah, has extended an apology to individuals who may have been offended during the club’s campaign to secure promotion to the Access Bank Division One League.
According to him, the intense nature of football and the club’s determination to protect its interests sometimes resulted in heightened emotions and disagreements.
Mornah said there were moments when members of the club exchanged words with people with whom, under normal circumstances, they would never have had disagreements.
“If, in the course of defending the interests of Kalibi Sporting Club, we offended, hurt, or disappointed anyone, I offer my sincere and unreserved apology,” he stated.
He said the apology was necessary as the club celebrates its promotion to the second tier of Ghana football, adding that football should ultimately promote unity and friendship.
Mornah called on all parties to put past disagreements behind them and move forward in the collective interest of football development in the Upper West Region.
