Hon. Boakye Agyarko, a leading figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized the importance of unity within the party as he campaigns for the position of National Vice Chairman. Speaking during an interview on Kangyiri FM in the Upper West Region, Agyarko underscored that the NPP’s victories have always been tied to collective strength and cohesion.
“Anytime we have stayed together, we’ve won. Anytime we’ve been scattered, we’ve lost. Common sensically, that should tell all of us that stick together and win, unless we don’t want to win,” he stated.
Agyarko argued that the political climate under President Mahama’s administration has created a strong desire among Ghanaians for the NPP’s return to power. He noted that this sentiment is not limited to party loyalists but extends even to some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“It is clear to me that less than two years of Mahama 2, every NPP person is craving for our return to power, including even some NDC people,” he added.
Agyarko’s message of unity comes at a crucial time for the party, which is gearing up for internal elections to select new national executives.
