The Dr Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU) has officially matriculated 1,967 students for the 2025/2026 academic year during a ceremony held on its main campus, marking the formal induction of new students into the university community.

Addressing the gathering on Friday, 27th February 2026, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Hamidatu Darimani, announced that the university recorded a 17 percent increase in admissions compared to the previous academic year.

She attributed the growth to the introduction of new, market-responsive academic programmes, which have strengthened public confidence in the institution’s offerings.

Professor Darimani urged the newly admitted students to uphold discipline, integrity, and academic excellence as they embark on their university journey.

She emphasized the importance of community engagement and encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunities available at DHLTU.

On infrastructure development, the Vice Chancellor revealed the commencement of a 400-bed hostel facility, aimed at improving on-campus accommodation and enhancing student welfare.

She also noted that the university continues to invest in state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops to reinforce practical training across technical and applied programmes.

According to Professor Darimani, DHLTU places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, innovation, and industry-relevant skills, ensuring that graduates are not only academically competent but also practically skilled and globally competitive.

“I am pleased to announce that the University has commenced the construction of a 400-bed hostel facility aimed at providing a safe and conducive residential environment for our students. This initiative forms part of our broader vision to enhance student life and welfare,” she said.
