The Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education (NJACE) in Wa has admitted 379 students as it’s 7th batch for the 2025/2026 academic year, reflecting the intense competition for limited admission slots at the institution.

The matriculation ceremony formally ushered the newly admitted students into the college to begin their academic journey in teacher education.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Principal of the College, Shani Osman, revealed that the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year was highly competitive due to the large number of applicants seeking entry into the institution.

According to him, the college admitted 379 students out of 1,631 applicants who selected NJACE as their first choice during last year’s admissions process.

He explained that 1,180 of the applicants met the admission requirements and were considered qualified, but the college was only able to admit 379 students, representing 32 per cent of the qualified candidates.

The figures indicate that 801 qualified applicants could not secure admission, highlighting the increasing demand for teacher education in the country.

The college has increased enrollment in its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes, a move aimed at consolidating its affiliation with University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development as a science- and technology-oriented teacher education institution.

The expansion reflects the College’s strategic commitment to strengthening practical, skills-based training in response to evolving national education priorities.
