A team led by Alhaj Alaska B. Kantong has officially filed nomination forms to contest for various executive positions in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper West Regional elections.

The group, made up of aspiring regional executives, completed the nomination process together, signalling their readiness to participate in the party’s internal elections.

Speaking after filing the nominations, Alhaj Kantong thanked party elders, delegates and supporters for their continued backing, describing the team’s candidature as a collective effort aimed at strengthening the party.

He said the team is committed to promoting unity and effective leadership within the NPP, adding that they intend to work closely with constituency and polling station executives to enhance the party’s structures across the region.

According to him, the team’s campaign is built on three key priorities: empowering grassroots party structures through greater support and recognition, fostering unity among party members, and adopting strategic political approaches to improve the party’s electoral performance in future elections.

Alhaj Kantong stated that the successful filing of nominations marks the beginning of the team’s campaign ahead of the regional executive elections.

The NPP is expected to hold its regional executive elections as part of the party’s internal democratic processes to elect leaders who will steer its affairs in the Upper West Region.
