The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has assured that adequate measures have been put in place to prevent the inclusion of ghost names in its beneficiary system.
According to Iddrisu Abubakari, the Wa Municipal Director of the agency, all beneficiaries are required to provide their Ghana Card details as part of the registration process to ensure proper identification and verification.
He explained that the use of the Ghana Card helps to prevent duplication, since individuals cannot possess two different Ghana Card numbers.
He added that the system is designed to detect attempts by any beneficiary to register for more than one module.
“Because we understand that no one can have two different Ghana Cards, every beneficiary is required to provide their Ghana Card. No beneficiary can register for more than one module because the system will flag such attempts,” the Wa Municipal Director stated.
The measures, according to Iddrisu Abubakari are aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and ensuring that only eligible beneficiaries benefit from its programmes.
