Former Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Hafiz Bin Salih, has outlined five key qualities he believes should guide the selection of New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives as the party begins its reorganisation process.
In a Facebook post, he identified competence, mobilisation power, sacrifice, empathy and track record as essential qualities that delegates should consider when choosing party leaders.
He explained that prospective executives must demonstrate the ability to manage party structures, mobilise supporters, resolve internal disagreements and remain committed to the party during difficult times.
According to Hon. Hafiz, “the evaluation of prospective party executives must be anchored on five non-negotiable pillars” of “Competence,” “Mobilisation Power,” “Sacrifice,” “Empathy” and “Track Record.”
He also emphasised the importance of empathy, arguing that effective leaders must be willing to listen to the concerns of party members and respond to their challenges.
He further stressed that candidates should have a verifiable history of loyalty and tangible contributions to the development of the party at the grassroots level.
He believes that prioritising these qualities will help the NPP build stronger and more effective structures ahead of the 2028 general election.
